Ways To Give
Employee Campaigns
Local businesses participate by running in-house company campaigns among employees.
Campaign Materials:
1. STEP BY STEP: How to run a campaign at your workplace - Use this sheet as your guide in running your employee campaign.
2. Speaker's Bureau - United Way speakers are available to visit your workplace and speak to employees on the importance of the United Way in Cortland County. Choose a speaker from the list, and contact the United Way to set up a time for them to visit your workplace.
3. Fact Sheet - Show employees exactly how their United Way donation makes an impact in their community.
4. Agency Services Guide - This is a pamphlet of all of the programs funded by the United Way for Cortland County.
5. Pledge Card - Employees have four ways to give:
Payroll Deduction: a simple, convenient way to contribute to United Way.
Employees choose the amount they want to contribute each week and your employer will
subtract the amount from each paycheck and send it to United Way.
Cash/Check: Make checks payable to United Way for Cortland County.
Bill Direct: Donors can choose to be billed directly for their gift; monthly, quarterly, or at a time of their choosing.
Charge: The United Way for Cortland County accepts all major credit cards. Please have individuals indicate when they would like the charge to occur.
6. Incentives!
If you donate at least $52 to the campaign you can enter The Gas and Grocery Giveaway! We have $2,000 in gas and groceries to give away. See contest rules.
***If you are a New York State employee, you can contribute to the United Way through your State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA).
