Wednesday, September 25th the United Way for Cortland County held the 24th Annual Day of Caring and Wendy Thibeault Memorial Food Drive.

The Day of Caring kicks off the 2020 Campaign and is an example of how United Way unites the resources of donors, volunteers, and agencies to improve the lives of individuals and families. Once again this year, students from McGraw High School will work in the village on community projects. Teams from Intertek, Village of Homer, Breakfast Rotary and the J. M. Murray Center will assemble new playground equipment at Newton Park in Homer. As part of the Day of Caring, food boxes are available in area businesses and organizations for donations that will help stock food pantries throughout the county.
