Every year, our local charities and nonprofits serve at least 10,000 members of our community in Cortland County who are experiencing everything from persistent hardships to fixable logistical challenges. These organizations do tremendous and impactful work in helping others get to a place of stability in their lives, especially during or after moments of personal crisis.
These organizations cannot do this important work without help from the greater community.

Last year, with the support of people just like you, the United Way for Cortland County was able to give critical funding to programs at:

Cortland Community Action
Catholic Charities
Child Development Council
Cortland County Child Development Centers
Family & Children's Counseling Services
Salvation Army
YWCA
Last year, those who donated
made people's lives better today.
This year, UWCC is asking the people of Cortland County to continue this commitment by being
United Today For a Better Tomorrow.
In choosing to donate just a small amount from your paycheck every month by signing up for payroll deduction through your place of employment's 2025 Workplace Campaign, you are able to support these efforts without having to go significantly out of our way. It is an easy and convenient chance to be an incredible part of the solution.
If your workplace does not participate in our annual campaign, let us know here and we can reach out to them!

Otherwise, you can easily participate in the campagin by clicking here to donate once or regularly, you chose!
Every year this campaign helps our community get the tutoring, housing assistance, childcare, emergency services, and basic needs (like food) that everybody needs. These efforts make our community stronger, happier, hopeful, and ultimately, resilient through experiencing the care and support of others.
REMEMBER: if you decide to pledge $500 or more in donations at once or overtime (1 year), you have the distinct honor of being a part of the United Way for Cortland County's Leadership Circle, a group of community superstars who value our local charitable organizations at a unique level.
We appreciate these individuals' special ability and willingness in their generosity, and we celebrate them for making Cortland County the best! Leadership level donating is less than $1.40 per day over the course of a year. By clicking here and donating at least $500 you will be recognized as a Leadership Circle Member.

Do you have the ability and willingness to be a community superstar?
